#StopHatredNow 2026
The intercultural and antiracist platform #StopHatredNow takes place during
11–15 May 2026!
The theme for this year is Accountability and Case.
11-15 may 2026
We're excited to team up with the community of expert organisations and concerned souls committed to bringing change and promoting diversity, social justice, and inclusion in their work!
What are the practical realities of working across a broad membership base? How are accountability and care negotiated within collective cultural infrastructures? What kind of tensions and possibilities arise within a heterogenous network?
Ceyda Berk-Söderblom and the new Managing Director of D-ARTS, Zhameli Khairli, discuss alliance work as a practice. They will delve in to how D—Arts emerged, how it has evolved, and how collective structures are built and sustained over time.
#StopHatredNow is an intercultural and anti-racist week-long platform organised once a year in collaboration with several art and intercultural organisations. The platform strives to create discourse and offers tools to create a more inclusive, diverse and feminist art field; inclusivity, diversity, non-discrimination, accessibility and social as well as ecological sustainability are issues that determine the future of every art and cultural institution. #StopHatredNow is aimed at individual artists, cultural influencers, and institutions of art and culture, but anyone interested in the topics is welcome.
#StopHatredNow is completely free of charge. Check out the entire programme here: https://www.stophatrednow.fi/
MiklagårdArts’ collaboration with the #StopHatredNow platform is made possible with the support of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.

#StopHatredNow – Accountability & Care
Tools for inclusive, anti-racist, and feminist action
At a time of growing political polarisation, shrinking cultural funding and intensified debates on representation and equity, art field is called to reflect on power and responsibilities to cast the focus on accountability and care. #StopHatredNow 2026 brings together artists, cultural practitioners and institutional leaders to explore how the arts sector can respond to the ongoing pressures while safeguarding artistic freedom and democratic values.
Through keynotes, panels and workshops, the programme examines how responsibility and accountability are realised in everyday practices — from leadership, programming, and curating to accessibility and inclusion. #StopHatrednow2026 creates space for critical reflection, dialogue and practical tools for building more equitable, resilient and responsible cultural field.
The event is initiated by UrbanApa and co-produced in collaboration with Catalysti, Culture for All Service, Globe Art Point, Goethe-Institut Finnland, Kiila ry, MiklagårdArts, Ministry of Education and Culture, Nordic Culture Point, the Finnish Arts and Culture Agency, Titanik, UrbanApa and Zodiak – Center for New Dance.
